Farm Time!

Join the crew at Woodside Farms!

Have you wondered what it really takes to get food on your plate?

Find out by working on our farm this growing season in exchange for credit that can be redeemed at The Woodside Market. Learn about chemical-free and sustainable growing practices, dirt therapy, and farming  with a growing community. This program is perfect for anyone who is curious about small-farm life, native trees and shrubs, working  outside, getting a little dirty, and eating delicious sun-ripe food. Sound like anyone you know? .

Please apply for Farm Time by e-mailing us at info@woodsidefarms.net

We have morning shifts  that start at 9 am and end at noon. This year we'll be offering shifts Wednesday - Friday

So, how does this work? You become a Farm Time member by signing up for Volunteer Shifts. Farm Time Shifts  are offered Wed-Fri to anybody who would like to work (and who has completed an orientation) in exchange for Farm Bucks ($6.25/hr that you can spend on anything at The Woodside Market). That means your hard work will go towards the freshest and most local veggies, proteins, eggs, and other goodies!

Welcome to Woodside Farms

Hi everyone, and welcome to Woodside Farms! We’re so excited to have you join us this season. Whether you're here for a few days or all season long, you’re now a part of something bigger than just a farm — you're part of a community rooted in connection, learning, and joy.

This year, we’re shifting focus as we grow into a new phase of life at Woodside. Looking ahead to 2026, we’ve dedicated our remaining space to cultivating over 10,000 trees, shrubs, herbs, flowers, and unique vegetables — many of them native species — all of which will be available for sale next year. That’s right, 10,000 plants! And your hands will help make that happen.

So what will you be helping with this season? Here’s what our volunteer efforts are centered on:

* Weeding our native tree nursery — keeping our young trees healthy and thriving.

* Interplanting edible plants between trees in the nursery to build biodiversity and beauty.

* Supporting the cultivation of vining plants that will soon cover the trellis along the low field’s main path.

* Growing native annuals and perennials to attract pollinators and enrich the landscape.

* Maintaining our herb beds so they remain abundant and aromatic.

* Harvesting, washing, and packing produce for our markets — yes, the delicious part!

But that’s just the beginning. We’re re-imagining the farm from neat rows to a more welcoming, community-focused space. You’ll see:

* Shorter, ornamental beds full of color and texture

* Spaces for seating, relaxing, and gathering

* Pick-Your-Own access for our Farm Share members

* And new family-friendly features like a natural playground and a cozy chicken coop with chickens and ducks!

Our mission is to grow more than just food — we’re growing a community. Throughout the season, there will be volunteer days, workshops, educational tours, and hands-on experiences that deepen your connection to this land and the people on it.
We’re so glad you’re here.

CHILDREN AND WORK SHARES

We are often asked if Workshare members can bring or send their children. We have tried this at various times through the years, but have come to the conclusion that for reasons of safety, security, and liability, we need to limit this program to individuals 16 and up.
