Woodside Farms of Virginia is a small, Certified Naturally Grown (CNG) produce farm located in Glen Allen, VA.  We grow over 30 types of produce, on less than an acre of bed space, including nutrient-dense veggies and culinary herbs.  We have been in business since 2019 and each year, we aim to improve our production and outreach operation to provide more high-quality produce to our customers.  

 

We practice a combination of regenerative and bio-intensive farming techniques, utilizing minimal heavy equipment in favor of intensive manual practices.  

 

Currently, we operate a small, on-site Farm Stand, which serves our Membership Based CSA program, retail customers, and a robust wholesale network, which includes local grocery stores, restaurants, and other delivery programs.  

 

We also have a comprehensive volunteer and work share program, working with members of the community to provide engaging experiences for those who want to get a taste of farm life!  Our volunteers and work share members are a huge component of our operation, providing thousands of hours of support throughout the year.  

 

Woodside Farms is part of Chickahominy Falls, a 55+ Active Adult Community, and Richmond's first Agri-hood.  Our farm is the featured amenity for this community and we work closely with residents to provide secure and close access to the best produce and local goods available.  

 

This year, we are expanding our Farm Stand to include a wide selection of items beyond the produce we grow on-site.  This will include proteins, baked goods, shelf-stable preserved goods, and other craft, and artisanal products from local vendors.  

Additionally, Woodside Farms operates a landscaping company that provides design, installation, and maintenance services for residential and commercial customers throughout the Greater Richmond Region.  Our Farm Crew and our Landscape Crew work together to meet the physically demanding nature of our job, taking aspects of both services to create a truly unique business that thrives on being outside and embracing the greatness of Virginia's Great Outdoors.
